• Account details: full name, email address, phone number, role (teacher or student).
• Teacher profiles: headline, about, subjects, qualifications, experience documents, profile photo, teaching rates.
• Student requirements: subject, grade, budget, schedule preferences, description, location (city only).
• Communication: application messages, reviews, and feedback.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps.
• Device information: browser type, IP address, operating system.
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies for session management.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the Platform.
• To match students with relevant teachers.
• To process payments via Razorpay.
• To send transactional emails (application alerts, connection notifications).
• To verify teacher qualifications and experience.
• To enforce our Terms & Conditions and prevent fraud.
• To display teacher profiles publicly to prospective students.

4. Contact Information & Privacy

Phone numbers and WhatsApp details are never publicly displayed. They are shared only when a student explicitly accepts a teacher's application and a Connection is created. This contact-gating protects both parties from spam and unwanted contact.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase, a cloud database provider hosted on AWS infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and Row-Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access data they are authorised to view. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Razorpay — for payment processing (subject to their privacy policy).
• Resend — for transactional email delivery.
• Law enforcement — if required by applicable law or court order.

7. Teacher Profile Visibility

Teacher profiles (name, headline, subjects, experience, teaching mode, rates, and verification badges) are publicly visible to all visitors. Profile photos and qualification documents are stored securely. Documents uploaded for verification are only accessible to TutorsDial administrators.

8. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update inaccurate information via your dashboard.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

9. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication session management (via Supabase Auth). These are strictly necessary cookies required for the Platform to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Students under 18 may use the Platform with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information without consent, please contact us immediately.
